A Commemoration of the end of the Great War 1914–1918

Sunday 4 November 2018
Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells

It’s November 1918, and the Armistice has finally dawned, bringing to an end the Great War..the “war to end all wars”. A whole generation of men have been lost, and celebrations to mark the end of hostilities are tinged with the realisation that the world will never be the same.

The Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Rod Dunk are commemorating this historic moment and honouring the lives that were lost in a moving tribute of words and music on November 4, with Annette singing some of the most beautiful music of the era, and actor Alex Jennings bringing to life the words of those who fought and lived through the nightmare of the trenches.

This is set to be one of the most poignant and moving of occasions, and tickets will be in high demand.  Booking details:

Let’s Get Lady Gardening!

I’m giving my full backing and support to the Gynaecological Cancer Fund right now, as Topshop brings out a fabulously warm and cosy sweatshirt to help raise funds. For every sale of  the top (see photo!) Topshop will donate 30% of the price to this fantastic cause. I’ve been directly affected by cervical cancer, and came out of the other end, thank goodness. Sadly, many other women don’t, and are diagnosed with various types of female cancers every day. So go on, pop out to your nearest Topshop, or visit their website and bag yourself a seriously fun, bang on trend top, whilst showing your support for women everywhere.

There’s also a Lady Garden Campaign website with more details about the campaign and other ways you can get involved.
